The setting is unique. A dense native kamahi forest with views to the glacier and alps. The treehouses were located carefully to reduce clearing bush, with views to the glacier and provide privacy from each other, and a desire they sat lightly in the environment.

Framing, manufactured off site, was stood and claddings following very closely. The idea was to reduce working in the wet conditions. The timber facade, aligning with interior detailing is visible on immediate arrival by the guest. QualMark awarded the retreat Five stars.
