The functional use of the floor plan was largely driven by the operational expertise of the client and the experience of the design team. This resulted in a ground floor that revolves around a central service space, making it efficient for food and beverage delivery. The back of house areas, such as keg room, laundry and alcohol store are all located within the immediate vicinity of the kitchen and bar away from public view.
A layering of textures combined with a minimal colour scheme formed the essence of the interior fit out. Keen attention to detail is most evident is the view from the first floor function room, which has curtain wall glazing overlooking the bar void. Within this bar void, five clusters of custom made light pendants, varying in diameter and suspension heights results in a sculptural element evoking Hamiltons natural landscape.
